A worry for many contractors is how to get the material they need to site if the site is in a more rural location. We are often asked if it is possible to deliver concrete to remote and rural locations and we are pleased to say yes we can get concrete to some of the most rural locations imaginable.
RT Mycock use concrete pumps to access rural areas this means that even the most remote locations we can use the pump to direct the concrete. Our concrete mixing vehicles will come as close to the location as possible and then the pumps will take care of the rest from here. The only sticking point is you will need to gain permission from the landowner if it is not yourself to route the pipelines from the mixer to the site. This isn’t usually an issue.
The options for pumping is then usually a direct pump which will give the scope to have various valves and pistons to give a direct delivery of the concrete where it is required. The concrete is subsequently loaded via a hopper from the concrete mixing truck. The concrete will flow with natural gravity but itis assisted by a piston The piston will create a pressure which will in turn cause the concrete to flow smoothly and directly to where the pump is aimed.
Our experts will choose the exact pipe and diameter of the pipe needed for the projects on an individual basis as each project requires different piping, If the concrete for the project has a high aggregate content then a larger pipe is required to stop the possibility of blockages. By using a professional for your rural concrete delivery process they will be able to ensure the correct pressure is used for the concrete pumping ensuring no mishaps with the concrete distribution.
If the site for delivery is a particularly long route we may opt to use a squeeze pump which has a rotating blade offering extra force for the pump to make sure it can reach the destination required.
When there is a concrete requirement for a rural site it can be a slightly more difficult and precise task which needs careful planning to get it right first time. Our experts at RT Mycock can guide you on how much concrete is required and the pump and pressure needed to ensure this is a smooth process. If you do have a concrete requirement in a rural location please do get in touch so we can ensure this process is as smooth as the concrete we deliver.
